Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no ads, nothing to sign up for.

Stored in your browser

Some tools remember your work in your browser’s localStorage, on your device only: your chord progression and tempo, your melody, ear-training scores and settings, your best perfect-pitch score, the virtual piano’s keyboard size and your last recording. It never leaves your device and you can delete it any time.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and doesn’t build a profile of you.

AI tutor

When you press “Ask the tutor” or “Explain my progression”, the text of your question (or the chord symbols of your progression) is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to an AI model to generate the answer. PianoForge doesn’t store those questions. Don’t include personal information in them. The AI is never called unless you press one of those buttons.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
